Best uncensored LLM APIs in 2026
An uncensored LLM API is a hosted endpoint for a model that answers prompts a stock chatbot refuses. As of 27 Oct 2026, five public APIs cover most of the category: Refuseless, abliteration.ai, Venice, Adverserial, and OpenRouter. They differ in what stops the refusals: edited weights, a fine-tune, or only the absence of an extra filter on an open model.
Refuseless publishes this page, so our row is first, and the ordering rule comes before the table so you can discard the ranking if you care about something else. Every cell is the vendor's own public wording or price, fetched on 27 Oct 2026 and linked at the bottom. We did not run a shared refusal or quality benchmark, and no cell claims one.
How is this list ordered?
- Where the refusal change lives. Edited weights rank above a fine-tune, and a fine-tune ranks above a host that only skips its own filter. Each fails differently; the four-way comparison explains how.
- You can call it from code: a public base URL, a documented request shape, and model ids.
- Retention is a sentence you can quote.
- Price is public. A number we could not find is left out, not estimated.
Which uncensored LLM APIs are there in 2026?
| API | What removes the refusals | Endpoint | Retention, in their words | Public price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Refuseless | Abliterated weights: refusal behavior removed from GLM 5.3 and GLM 5.3 Flash. Ids glm-5.3-abliterated and glm-5.3-flash-abliterated. | https://api.refuseless.com/v1. OpenAI chat completions, responses, completions, and embeddings, plus Anthropic /v1/messages. | Prompts and outputs are never saved and not used for training. | Per million tokens on the pricing page: GLM 5.3 Abliterated, $1.00 in, $0.15 cached, $2.00 out; GLM 5.3 Flash Abliterated, $0.12 in, $0.03 cached, $0.50 out; DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 Abliterated, $0.12 in, $0.025 cached, $0.45 out; DeepSeek V4.1 Flash 1017 Abliterated FREE, $0.14 in, $0.035 cached, $0.50 out. Visa, Mastercard, BTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, XMR. |
| abliteration.ai | Abliterated models, "edited to reduce learned refusal behavior." A separate Policy Gateway adds your own rules. | https://api.abliteration.ai/v1. Chat completions and responses, plus Anthropic messages. | Prompts and completions processed in memory, not stored by default, never used for training. Web search is the stated exception. | $1 in and $3 out per million tokens for abliterated-model; $3 and $5 for abliterated-model-large-v2. Plans at $20, $50, and $200 a month. |
| Venice | A mixed catalog. venice-uncensored is the quickstart model, and Venice says its open-weight text models carry no extra policy layer. Claude and GPT on Venice keep their labs' safeguards. | https://api.venice.ai/api/v1, OpenAI-compatible. Text, image, video, and audio on one key. | Private models: "Venice never stores your prompts or responses." Anonymous mode, which serves GPT, Claude, and Gemini: "assume the provider is storing your content." | Free tier with no card. Pro Plus $68 a month with $75 of API spend; Max $200 a month with $225. |
| Adverserial | CyberKimi and CyberGLM, "fine-tuned for cybersecurity." The homepage also mentions "model ablation and cyber tuning" without saying which model got which. | https://api.adverserial.ai/v1, OpenAI chat completions. Ids lordx64/cyberkimi and lordx64/cyberglm. | "No GPU request logs. No training on customer prompts." | Memberships at $20, $50, and $200 a month, or pay per use from a prepaid wallet. |
| OpenRouter | Nothing on its side. It is a router, and each model keeps its own filter. Permissive models, such as the Dolphin Mistral 24B Venice edition, are reachable by id. | https://openrouter.ai/api/v1, OpenAI-compatible. | Does not store prompts or responses unless you opt in. Keeps request metadata. The upstream provider still receives the prompt. | Provider rates plus credit fees, on their pricing page. |
Which uncensored LLM API should you choose?
- You want the refusal removed from the model itself, behind an OpenAI or Anthropic SDK: Refuseless or abliteration.ai. Both host abliterated checkpoints. abliteration.ai adds a Policy Gateway and EU data residency. Refuseless is the model API alone, with crypto settlement that includes XMR.
- You want image, video, and audio on the same key as an uncensored text model: Venice. Pick the model id with care, because a Claude or GPT id brings that lab's refusals back.
- You do security work and want a model trained for it: Adverserial's cyber fine-tunes. Read how a fine-tune differs from abliteration first.
- You already switch between many labs: OpenRouter. The router will not remove a filter, so you choose a permissive model id yourself.
Why does it matter what removed the refusals?
Because each method fails in a different way. Abliterated weights keep the base model's skills and lose most of one refusal habit, and a clumsy edit can dull the model. A fine-tune can add domain skill, and it also teaches the habits of its training set. A host that only skips its own filter gives you whatever the open model does by default, which for many instruction-tuned models still includes refusals. None of these makes a model correct. A model that answers is not a model that is right.
Is there an uncensored LLM API that does not store prompts?
Several say so. Refuseless says prompts and outputs are never saved. abliteration.ai says content is processed in memory and not stored by default. Venice says Private models store nothing, but its Anonymous mode forwards to labs that may keep the text. OpenRouter stores no prompt text unless you opt in, while the provider behind each model has its own policy. The privacy-first API comparison puts those sentences side by side.
Will Claude or GPT become uncensored through another API?
No. Changing the base URL does not change the weights. Venice states that Claude and GPT keep their labs' safeguards on its platform, and OpenRouter forwards to the same models with the same filters. To get fewer refusals you need a different model: an abliterated one, a fine-tune, or an open model with a lighter default.
What does this list leave out?
Weights you download and run yourself are a real option and not an API. Chat products without a documented API are not rows. Lab APIs with a lighter filter, and aggregators that resell other hosts, are not rows either, because the refusal behavior belongs to the upstream model. We did not score latency, uptime, or refusal rate. If a cell goes stale, the vendor's page wins, and this table should be edited.
